IGP Pays de Caux

Soil:
Mainly shallow Milocene era limestone and some basalt scree.

Grapes:
merlot, syrah, marselan.

Grapevines:
organic farming, tillage, organic fertilizers, moderate yield, by hand-harvested.

Wine:
vats filled by gravity, light extractions by punching down, short maceration (12-20 days). Matured for 10 months in concrete tanks.

This wine offers a more modern and expressive vision than a traditional Pezenas wine. Not as focused on the delicacy and the elegance of tannic structure of AOP, but with much more spectacular flavors and doubly demonstrative in its youth. It is a blend of Bordeaux grapes (Merlot) and Mediterranean grapes (Syrah) together with Marselan (a recent cross between which makes a perfect bridge between Merlot and Syrah).
